Once upon a time, I was busy raising a family and running a successful custom weaving studio in Seattle. But at some point it wasn’t enough. I yearned not just to provide people with wonderful objects, but also to help them feel wonderful on the inside—more energetic, healthier, more positive. When the mother of a childhood friend pointed out I’d always been interested in taking vitamins and eating well, I knew I’d found my next big thing. I signed up for nutrition classes at Bastyr University in 1994 and never looked back.
A graduate of and faculty member of Bastyr College in Kenmore, Washington, I am licensed by the Washington state Department of Health. I offer a wealth of experience in nutritional planning, supplements, and simply what works and what doesn’t. I’m also a dynamic lecturer at workplace seminars and public wellness events.

My approach can be summed up in three ways: lasting lifestyle changes come from baby steps, diets don’t work, and it’s not only about the food.
